Serve on Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) and Campus Referral Committee (CRC)
Serve as case manager for all student sassigned for evaluation
Select and administer appropriate test instruments and analyze test results
Utilize appropriate scoring program analysis and comprehensively interpret results
Conduct classroom/behavioral observations
Prepare and maintain a computerized Full and Individual Evaluation report for each student evaluated
Conduct Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings with appropriate professionals
Participate in Central MDT meetings with other professionals for students evaluated
Present and interpret evaluation results for members of the ARD Committee
Recommend appropriate disability condition(s) and teaching strategies based on evaluation results for ARD/IEP Committee consideration
Conduct in-services for school personnel on intervention strategies, referral process, classroom modifications/accommodations
Maintain a computerized database of evaluations conducted at each school
Communicate with parents and professional staff regarding Child Find process and procedural safeguards
Review outside evaluations provided by other districts, agencies or the parent
Collaborate with school personnel and parents regarding each assigned student
Perform other related duties asassigned
CASE MANAGEMENT DUTIES
The campus assigned evaluation specialist (i.e. diagnostician) serves as the Evaluation Case Manager for all referrals for Section 504 and special education evaluation.
The primary responsibility of the Evaluation Case Manager is to initiate and coordinate all Section 504 and special education evaluations.
The campus assigned evaluation specialist (i.e. diagnostician) serves as the Case Manager of Evaluation for all students currently in Section 504 and special education.
All multidisiciplinary team (MDT) members maintain equal responsibility and accountability for completing timely and quality evaluations.
The Evaluation Specialist (i.e. Diagnostician) serves as the Case Manager of Evaluation for all Section 504 and Special Education evaluations.
This is includes referrals for special education evaluation that require psychological and speech assessment.
The purpose of this role is to establish one point of contact between the IAT chairperson, administrators and the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
All requests for Section 504 or Special Education evaluation must first be directed to the campus assigned evaluation specialist.
Although the Case Manager will coordinate all evaluations, all MDT members maintain equal responsibility and accountability for ensuring a timely and quality evaluation.
Evaluation Case Managers should frequently monitor the EasyIEP caseload for each assigned campus to coordinate the reevaluation process and to identify newly enrolled students.
